The lights are shining bright, the floor is freshly waxed, and the gym is huge. The sound of balls bouncing and players yelling fills the arena. The words “Ole Miss” is at the center of the court in big red cursive writing. Our team walks down from the stands looking out onto the biggest court any of us has ever seen. I can’t believe we were about to play in this gym.
ReplyDeleteThis experience at Ole Miss taught me that I could go further in life and go to college. I came to realize that there’s more than just Walker County out there and I want to explore everything I can. Even if it’s not playing basketball there are other opportunities out there for me. From what I experienced at Ole Miss, the college life would be an incredible experience for me. It would also open many doors for me and my future would be bright.
